Ken "Snakebite" Jacobs arrived in the Bay Area in 2005 from New Orleans where he was highly in demand as a sideman and bandleader for over 25 years.

He studied music at Berklee, as well as privately with Tony Dagradi and John Handy. He has recorded with the Neville Bros, Jr. Brown, Marva Wright, Kinky Friedman and performed live with The Band, The Temptations, the Dells, Martha Reeves, Gatemouth Brown.

Since arriving in the Bay Area, Snakebite has played with Macy Blackman and the Mighty Fines, Country Joe McDonald , Dan Hicks, and his own band, The Ninth Ward Millionaires. Known mostly as a tenor man, he holds down the baritone chair in the Mighty Fines.
